Zuppa Toscana Say WHAT?!
We don't eat out much - I know, it's a travesty, but listen with four kids can you blame me?! The total would be $60 before we finished appetizers.
I digress. Since I am so sheltered a cousin of mine told me about her favorite soup. So of course I went on the hunt for a copy cat recipe, and boy did it live up to the hype!
Did someone say bacon?
Sausage and bacon in the same recipe? That's what I call a party in my mouth.
You put bacon and sausage in any recipe and it is bound to be a home run! I mean.. bacon! Who doesn't love bacon?! It's smokey, it's delicious- dogs love it!
Is It A True Copycat? We may never truly know since I have never had it from the restaurant, but if we can trust my sister, Tina, who happened to be over that night and has also had the Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana in the past; she said it was 'better than the restaurant version' which just so happens to be exactly what the orignal recipe stated as well. Imagine that. Home cooked food is better than at a restaurant. But you know what? You don't have to. do your own dishes at a restaurant. Worth it.
